In the last decades of the last century, museums throughout Israel began to present nostalgic exhibitions on a variety of subjects, exploring the material and visual culture that was created in Israel before and during the establishment of the state. Objects from daily life, souvenirs, popular cultural products and objects that are consumed for a moment and thrown into the trash, such as bus tickets, advertisements, brochures, invitations to events, etc., began to fill the museum's display spaces. The discourse will deal with the connection between historical research and everyday culture and Israeli nostalgia, and will examine the place of the culture of preservation and collecting of Eretz Israel in contemporary local discourse.
